LIFT RAIL A lip on vent sash to be used when opening or closing the vent.
LITE Refers to a single piece of glass.
LOW-EMISSIVITY (LOW-E) A coating consisting of a very thin layer of metallic oxide or silver which is applied to the second or third surface of an insulating glass unit to block radiant heat transfer and ultra-violet rays.
